How many non-citizen voter IDs tied to absentee and mail-in ballots in Minnesota?
In this discussion about the SAVE Act, the Minnesota Secretary of State, Steve Simon, addresses non-citizen voting.
Besides non-verbal tells of deception—glancing away from camera, frequent blinking, throat movements—the Secretary also states the following, paraphrasing:
- We are in the Democracy Business, and somehow focusing on disallowing non-citizens from voting is bad for business. (11m 30 seconds)
- The number of non-citizens voting is microscopic. (12 minutes)
For Number 1, can we read between lines on What is ‘Democracy Business’? Perhaps the Democracy Business is keeping incumbents in legislative and other elected roles, who will either continue to change election rules or not enforce laws on books (and anyone going along with this agenda, which is ultimately a system-level type of control akin to religious dogmatic control or financial control through FIAT currency, which is not real money.
For Number 2, Simon references a study that focuses on prosecuted cases. However he does not say whether or not there are cases of non-citizen voter IDs (digital identifiers in the statewide voter registration system, essentially a database) which are assigned absentee/mail-in ballots outside the knowledge of the non-citizen. The Secretary goes into no detail to ensure us this is not happening.
